Books that have a place in my heart...forever.

One of the books we read in Ed's class a couple of years back is entitled, "Yard Art and Handmade Places...Extraordinary Expressions of Home" by Jill Nokes.  I fell in love with this book. I wanted to put my artistic self into everything a saw from "stuff" on the side of the road to knocking on doors to ask, "can I have that?". I loved this book so much I called the author to chat and even one of the artist in the book (Vince Hannermann - The Cathedral of Junk in Austin, Texas). They didn't mind, really. When you see all the art in this book you can't help but love Yard Art. My chandeliers are in part made with this book in mind.

"Our home is our life territory, the communities, landscapes, and bioregions that we occupy and depend on our emotional existance." Timothy Beatly - Places Full of Memory and Meaning
